Virtual Machine
Hi all,
As usual Debain amazes me again.
I am using Debian Etch and I am using Qemun to create a Debian virtual Machine (I could install WinXP). However when I am installing Debian DVD the PC is hanaging up and is not able to complete the installation.
I am not a pro with Linux and I would like to use the PC just to experment with compling the kernel.
I do not know whats going wrong. Plesase help.

you could just compile a new kernel and boot from the cdrom, placing the new kernel on that, then if it fails you just have to reboot with no cd and you still have your running machine...
virtual machine errors could be caused by anything, ie have you given the vm enough space, have you configured vm for the right os, has your hardware got enough spare resources to run vm, etc...
i have a desktop that wont run virtual machines, yet my laptop is slower and smaller and runs virtual machines really well...
