Unable to mount laptop cd-rom installing Debian 4.0


Hi,

I install Debian on laptop by CD source, when uncompress kernel image and bootloader,
it can not detect and mount CD-ROM


It can still end up in main menu
Choose language
Select a keyboard layout
Detect and mount CD-ROM
Load installer components from CD
.......
.......

if I enter kernel parameters like irq would help? what kernel parameters are in above error log??

You could try the kernel parameters irqpoll and pci=biosirq one at a time. If one works, you can add it to /boot/grub/menu.lst on the kernel line.

it adds the kernel parameter into /boot/grub/menu.lst
after the install. Thanks =)
