Unhappy Unable to login to SVN for a instance created in a NEW Partition.

On a Debian Linux box, SVN Server is installed. In the partition where SVN was installed, Free disk space is causing anxiety, hence started creating new instances in a new partition, though I am able to get the first screen (it prompts for username and password), I am unable to login even though the username and passwords are correct. Can somebody help me where I am going wrong.
Thanks in advance.

What is the error message that subversion returns please? If you have access to the file system on the server can you confirm that the repository exists in the correct location and that the required users have had their access set up?
