Unable to create temporary printer.

I have disto-upgraded my Kanotix 2006-01 system up to date, including kde 3.5.7. Unfortunately, I am not able to create a printer. I get the following message when I try to test a page:

"Unable to create temporary printer."

If i proceed, I get the following massege:

"Unable to create printer. Error message received from manager:
server-error-internal-error"

I checked the /var/log/cups/error_log it says:

Code:
E [11/Jun/2007:19:24:43 +0000] Unable to find IP address for server name "my_host"!
E [21/Jun/2007:20:57:34 +0300] CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer: Unauthorized
E [21/Jun/2007:21:11:01 +0300] cupsdAuthorize: Local authentication certificate not found!
E [21/Jun/2007:21:11:01 +0300] CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer: Unauthorized
When I ping my_host I get the following:

Code:
root@1[knoppix]# ping my_host
PING my_host (127.0.0.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from Joatha (127.0.0.1): icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.026 ms

64 bytes from Joatha (127.0.0.1): icmp_seq=5 ttl=64 time=0.021 ms

--- Joatha ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 5 received, 0% packet loss, time 4002ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.021/0.022/0.026/0.006 ms
root@1[knoppix]#
How can I make cups discover that my_host is 127.0.0.1 as shown in the ping command?

My printer is HP laser jet 6P.

Pointing konqueror to http://localhost:631 is the easiest way to manage cups.

Use this line in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf:
# Only listen for connections from the local machine.
Listen 127.0.0.1:631

Do you have the hpijs driver installed?
Post output of: dpkg -l|grep cups && dpkg -l|grep hpijs

Under http://localhost:631/printers you should set the allowed users.
