Software RAID1 with mdadm

Hello,

I want to do software RAID1 in Debian with the mdadm tools. First I used dmraid (fakeraid) but the dm-mirror module as a bug that cannot recover to 2nd disk if the 1st disk fails. It only mirrors data but doesn't have fault tolerance. If I set the RAID1 with the mdadm tools, I will get fault tolerance?

Thanks.
