Hi. I'm newbie to Debian Sarge and cannot configure Xwindows to run with my
Intel D845GLVA + i810 videocard + Compaq 1024 monitor. Xf86config doesn't contain my videocard data. Is it possible configurate Xwindows on Debian in other way. Does anybody else have same problem ?

I had a similar problem.. try picking versa as the type.. it sould be one of the top ones.. apparently that's pretty generic .. I only got 640*480 thongh.. but it worked.. on a different machine i got 800*600 with a different card that again wasn't on the list.. good luck and let us know if you found a solution..

i think just u didnt install the modules for ur video card type modconf and search for the modules for ur video card u will find in the kernel/drivers/video vesafb if there is no + in front of it install it same for cfbcopyarea cfbfillrect cfhimghlt then go to see if ur video card module is installed
