problems with mac powerbook g4

hey guys, im trying to install debian on a mac powerbook g4. the mac doesnt recognize the install disk. i used both a cd and a dvd and it wont boot. i tried holding down the option key and the C key and the D key but non of it seems to work. it wont go to the boot menu or begin the boot sequence. does anyone know of any weird problems with the powerbook G4? I know macs can sometimes be a bit weird but I didnt think it would be like that with debian. any info would be great . thank you

I'm going to assume you're familiar enough with it not to make this mistake, but I'll ask anyway. You downloaded the PowerPC installation medium not the ppc64el, amd64, or i386, correct?

Did you press only c key at the boot time?

Did you check the md5sum (or sha256sum) of the downloaded iso file?

Did you confirm that the CD/DVD drive is not out of order?
