problem with xfs and kde

Hello,
My KDE doesn't seem to read the fonts from the xfs. When I go to the control center and choose fonts, it will only appear a few, if I do xlsfonts with will appear a lot of them. What I have to do to load the xfs fonts to KDE?

Hmm Kde usually reads fonts from /usr/share/fonts. If your fonts are not there just create sym links/copy and rebuild your fonts cache with fcache -f -v. Should be working after this. For me as soon as I installed the msttcorefonts package they appeared in control panel.

But the reason of using X font server is for the X applications connect directly with the XFS and not going to the font directories... I think....

I think in debian defoma handles all the fonts and provides them to the respective apps. This worked though...right?

My ideia was not to use defoma, I want a more distro standard method, like the X font server. I've tried to remove the defoma package, but I realized that to much packages depend on defoma. Is there some possbility that defoma is overriding the X font server?
