Printing Problem with FF3 to canon560i

I have never had a problem printing from FF2 using debian and a canoni560 using the canon japan filters and cups files.

However, with FF3 i get this when trying to print:
/usr/lib/cups.filter/pstocanonbj/ fails

any ideas where to begin.

Go to 5.2 here and increase the log level to debug;

see if you get some more error messages, may be a problem with portmap or encoding, not sure.
