Question Power Management

greetings

I just fresh installed debian 5.0 standard system. I have a question on changing
the timing off settings.

If I am watching a video longer then 5-10 mins. My screen blinks out to black and I need to wake it up again. How would I disable this from timing out ?

xscreensaver, I don't remember how to completely kill it but somewhere in your settings you should have a xscreensaver gui. What are you using for a windows manager?

Using fluxbox, I think I'll just go ahead and install the full desktop gnome system.
Thanks for the reply. +1

Could just install xscreensaver daemon, then just set it to 45 minutes, that's what I do. If I'm watching a movie I'll set it higher but that allows me to watch most TV shows.

just type xscreensaver in console I think... Or just menu/run if you have that somewhere.
