no more m$ please??


ok Ive got debain up and running all looks good after dozens and dozens of reinstalls etc
now can I get rid of windows....what I use windows for:
DVD SHRINK,this is a big one its so damn easy to use are there any linux equivalents?
.shn files? does linux hava a port of mkwact??
also would it be worthwhile to install the nvidia driver?? I dont play games so I dont know if the possible( if any ) headaches are worth it
also I tried to get dvdshrink working thru wine and had no luck......

don't know nothing about dvd shrink but about nvidia drivers... i never had any headache
you install kernelheaders, then run nvidia program... and all go perfect.... or at least so it went for me... good luck

I know, I need to redo it so you don't have to reboot. I'm working on it.

That will take some load off your CPU. The slower the CPU is the more it will help.

Don't have a DVD player so no clue there. You may want to search sourceforge and see if you luck up there.
