I have been trying different distros to find which I like the best and after about 30 min after my quest to linux, I have wanted to try debian but I do not want 14 images...I have a Broadcom 440x integrated controller and I cannot use net install to install debian.
So is there a way to use a driver or something to let debian use it?
If this is a new installation anyway, don't be afraid to use pjvaldez's link to the etch netinstall disk and start over Etch is really the release of preference for hobbyists. There you'll get kernel 2.6.15.
ok, thanks I'll try that. I have always tried the stable release because I never really needed the newest thing but hey, if it works and I don't have to use that many cds then I'll give it a shot.
Also, as I said, you can do a basic installation from the first CD only or maybe the first couple. The way the CD's are organized, the base install and the most popular things are on the first CD (or two) and the other CD's contain less used packages. So the 14th CD is the most obscure stuff that most people would never need.
