Modify netinstaller to install basic system

Hello,

I am a student and I am working on a personal project. I should modify the debian netinstaller iso to not download from the mirror but instead automatically proceed with all packages and configurations it has and install a very basic system. I am not sure how to do this. Please give me a hand!

Ok, we'll be happy to help; what have you done so far, and where are you stuck??

Debian can use a kickstart file, but it does not support all the options. For maximum control over automating the install, use a preseed file. https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/apb.en.html

Alright, I went a bit a far and now I have a different problem. I am modifying debian-11.6.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso . I want to modify the list of packages being installed when I select the option "Standard System Utilities" but I can't find the file that I should modify. Maybe the file I'm looking for is a compiled one. Can you help with this?

The point of doing this is to create a debian installer that installs a very basic system, like the netinstaller installs when it doesn't mirror. The installer I'm trying to create should not ask to whether mirror or not, or prompt options to choose like "Gnome, "KDE". As I replaced the packages with the ones in netinstaller iso, those options disappeared but "Standard system utilies" is remaining. Also, I don't want the installer to not prompt it just because the packages are not there. I want to modify it so the installer should not prompt those options even if the packages are available (maybe by modifying the list of packages).

I am using this guide https://wiki.debian.org/DebianInstaller/Modify/CD

Oh this looks interesting but it's not how I want to automate the installation process. Please check my reply to TB0ne, sorry for not explaining properly.
