The kolorpaint package doesn't exist. What's its actual name and how did you install it? From a nondefault repository? From .deb files?
In any case you're running a KDE program on Gnome - no that's not always simple. Since the package doesn't exist I can't tell you what it says it depends on, but if it is properly set up and you installed via apt-get or aptitude, all the required dependencies would have been installed. But it's likely that the KDE services Kolorpaint depends on are not running because you are using Gnome. You'll have to either use a Gnome paint program, or start the KDE services in Gnome, but no I am not sure that is possible.
Edit: found it, it's spelled kolourpaint. It depends on kdelibs4c2a (>= 4:3.5.9), libc6 (>= 2.7-1), libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1), libqt3-mt (>= 3:3.3.8b), and libstdc++6.. whatever all that means. Sorry, I am not a KDE guy.

My bad. I mistyped it, when I should have cut-in-pasted it from my terminal window where I typed it in.
I'm going to remove the package and hope and pray doing so doesn't damage other apps I use (and I believe I don't have many KDE apps installed either).
