kde/desktop effectes

when i try to activate the desktop-effects on kde4-minimal i get an error message saying:
`the screen does not support composite`.

its debian/sid,
Identifier "Intel Corporation 82945G/GZ Integrated Graphics Controller";the driver is "intel", i also tried "intel810".
i tried three different kernels:
2.6.26-1-686; 2.6.26-2-686 and 2.6.29-1-686.

i copied the old xorg.conf which i used for compiz-fusion.
(including Option "Composite" "Enable" ; Load "dbe" and Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmapa" "true")

then i tried other xorg.conf values:
Code:
dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
Code:
Xorg -reconfigure
Code:
mv xorg.conf xorg.conf_backup
Code:
Section "ServerFlags"
         Option "DontZap" "off"
         Option "AllowEmptyInput" "0"
         Option "AutoAddDevices" "0"
EndSection
no success, but, if it matters:
Code:
glxinfo | grep rendering
says direct rendering is enabled.

i ran out of ideas what to try next, might one give me a hint?
right now i only use the 2.6-29-1-686.
(btw: whats that kernel about?)

thanks in advance and greetings

thanks, i did a lot of search yesterday but didn`t get anywhere.
i`ll check the link and hope for the best.
greetings

post-edit: i could solve the issue with the kde-effects by removing polipo, which somehow caused trouble. i still got problems configuring
xorg.conf on other wm`s.
