Intel Gigabit lan on Woody

I'm fairly new to linux, but I have used Fedora and I tried Gentoo, but that didn't go too well. I'm looking to try Debian now.

I have an integrated Intel Gigabit lan on my motherboard, and in my previous linux experiences, it used the file e1000. When trying in install Debian, it does not detect my lan and the e1000 file is not a module listed to install. How can I get this lan working?

I think that you need to download the driver from Intel's website. Alternatively, you can try this: http://pigtail.net/nicholas/linux/debian.html
