I downloaded the actual debian-installer sarge and would like to get started now ;-)) All I need is my WLAN access to install further debian packages. I live in a guesthouse and I think we have a DHCP access. (The only thing i did when i used windows was to type in username and pwd to get the internet-connection)

I have the following problem:
I use a notebook equipped with a WLAN pcmcia D-LINK DWL-610 which is not automatically detected by the debian-installer. So I'm not able to install any other debian-packages.

Is there anything I can do during/before installation (e.g. load something into the kernel???) to go on with installation?

I installed Debian on a Compaq 7400 with Avaya Wi-Fi and found that only the potato floppy installer worked
at detecting everything; then you follow the upgrade path. My problem was more the EIDE controller, tho'

Check ifconfig eth0, etc to see what it can see.
I used DHCP via Blekin 7230, and I had to configure that to channel 10, to match the speed of the Avaya.
