gtk-theme-switch question

I installed gtk-theme-switch and also a bunch of gtk-engine themes, however, when i run gtk-theme-switch, in the combo box, only geramik and plastig is available. (however there are a bunch in /usr/share/themes) i am using kde 3.3 and deb sid.

anyone know why this would happen? thanks

Are you sure they are GTK themes ?

Have you installed gnome-themes and/or gnome-themes-extras ?

How can I know if they are gnome themes for sure? I just did apt-get install gtk-engines-<themename>

check your ~/gtk-rc . they tend to get messed up by using such tools.

I've had much more luck switching GTK themes using gtk-chtheme:

http://plasmasturm.org/programs/gtk-chtheme/

You might have to install it from source, as I can't seem to find a debian repo that contains it, but it has always worked properly for me.
