disregard this post, sorry

I just installed sarge with the beta 3 installer. Everything went well. This was my first experience with grub .
After rebooting I noticed it didnt recognize my WinXP ntfs partition. I sid some searching and found how-to's that I didnt quite understand and totaly smeared my grub configuration resulting in a error 17.
I then attempted to try and boot from the sarge disk that i downloaded. I "F1'ed" to try to find some sort of recovery method to at least get back into linux resulting in not really finding anything helpfull.
I tried root=/dev/hda1 and root=/dev/hda2 (XP is on first partition, wasnt sure if mbr counted as another partition). Neither worked.
At this point I have fixmbr'ed with XP so I can at least get into an operating system for the time being.
Is there a way to get grub installed again? All I want to do is get back into Debian and either get grub working properly or wipe off grub and go back to good ol LILO again.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
