dist-upgrade libsnmp-base debian-desktop rep problem


I tried this...
apt-get dist-upgrade

then the output was...
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Calculating Upgrade... Done

E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?

so I installed the deb package itself with kpackage and still gives the same error, what went wrong, any ideas...
my

kernel is 2.6.8
sarge

by the way when running apt-get update says this...
