I've been using Mandrake10.1 (I also aggree on the weird new name) and have had virtually no problems setting it up and using it on an old 300mhz Celeron cpu. I'm getting a laptop tonight and setting up Sarge on it tomorow morning and I personnaly think that it will work much better for me. Even if I have a good computer I still prefer the minimalist way of running things, Debian seems really good for that. I've been researching into different distros for a few weeks now and I really like the package managment that Debian has set up. I read and article not too long ago about how Debian is soooo much different than RedHat for the way the packages are handled and it sounds great. Most of the packages are assigned to someone to upkeep the program and make sure it works well with the system and other programs on the system, like someone said here (not sure who) once it's set up it "just works".
I can't wait to give it a spin. I'll see if I can find that article before I leave tonight.
EDIT: found it :P
