Debian-sid: filesystem unknown parition type

Hi All,
I used Debian-sid for the last months with a dual-boot with WindowsNT.
First I installed the 2.4 kernel then I upgraded to 2.6.
Last month I re-installed Debian into a new partition and I choose to install the 2.6 directly.

The problem, I disovered today, is that I cannot boot my WindowsNT anymore.
The error I got was:
filesystem unknown parition type 7

I read that it was a geometry problem.
I have on old notebook so I can't set my hdd to LBA mode.

My /boot/grub/menu.lst looks like:
Code:
# menu.lst - See: grub(8), info grub, update-grub(8)
# grub-install(8), grub-floppy(8),
# grub-md5-crypt, /usr/share/doc/grub
# and /usr/share/doc/grub-doc/.

## default num
# Set the default entry to the entry number NUM. Numbering starts from 0, and
# the entry number 0 is the default if the command is not used.

# is the entry saved with the command 'savedefault'.
default 0

# Set a timeout, in SEC seconds, before automatically booting the default entry
# (normally the first entry defined).

My boss asked me to do a work with WindowsNT and I cannot reboot it anymore.
Please help I'm really desperate.
BTW I can access the nt partition from Linux.

As I said the problem seems to be geometry related.

Thanks for any advices for Debian-sid.
Please suggest something that I can do `safely',
I cannot risk to loose my WindowsNT installation.

Thanks thanks

Problem solved or to be more precise a workaround was found.
In pratice I installed lilo at dev/hda3 where my Linux was installed.
Then I installed FreeBSD 5.2.1 at /dev/hda4 and I installed the FreeBSD MBR.

Now I can boot WindowsNT, Debian/sid, and FreeBSD by using the FreeBSD MBR program.

I'm really disappointed about that 2.6 specific issue, but at least now I can work.
