debian amd64 etch Logitech Quickcam Express

Hi,
i have bought a Logitech Quickcam Express. I don't know whether this is the "new" or "older" model (lsusb output: 046d:092f Logitech, Inc.). I am trying to install it on a Debian Etch AMD64 system (uname -ar output: Linux mermix 2.6.18-6-amd64 #1 SMP Mon Jun 16 22:30:01 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux) The camera is recognized as a USB device, but nothing more - no /dev/video, etc. The problem is that i cannot find the right drivers. Also:
Code:
mermix:/home/kostas# apt-get install qc-usb-modules
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Package qc-usb-modules is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package qc-usb-modules has no installation candidate
There are a lot of sources in the Internet; older projects for the support of the webcam, newer projects, projects for the "older" and the "newer" modeils. Can somebody advice me on where to search? Isn't there a stable solution yet?

Thanks

I think the module is called quickcam_messenger. Try modprobing that.

I load the gspca module, after having installed the corresponding kernel modules package on my system. It works OK

Good for you. You probably noticed, that I misread your webcam model
