Question Critical Error: dist-upgrade skipping files.


While doing a distro upgrade some files are being skipped. It seems this will critically affect the upgrade. Please assist. Here are the details below.

I've had that same problem with that same ftp mirror. I just switched to the http one in my sources.list and it seems to work fine.

Can you give me some good alternative http mirrors for this please ?
I have none in my sources.list.

I just downloaded all the files and did a distro upgrade.

The process stops at the point below. At this point I am forced to press ctrl-C. Then the upgrade process continues. But
at the end it says still a lot of files are not installed.
and an error code 1 also comesup

(Reading database ... 82492 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace portmap 5-2 (using .../archives/portmap_5-7_i386.deb)

Please Assist.

Similar error also occurs with this package.

flex_2.5.31-31_i386.deb

I tried to get these packages separately. It says these packages do not exist.
