Question Compiling kernel, got this error?

Hello again,

I was compiling the 2.6.7 kernel and got this error message during it:

if [ -r System.map ]; then /sbin/depmod -ae -F System.map -b /usr/src/linux/debian/tmp-image -r 2.6.7; fi
/bin/sh: /sbin/depmod: No such file or directory
make[2]: *** [_modinst_post] Error 127
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.7'
make[1]: *** [real_stamp_image] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.7'
make: *** [kernel-image-deb] Error 2

Anybody know whats happening (I don't ).

I used menuconfig to make the .config -file.

I think you haven't installed the module-init-tools package. Depmod is part of module-init-tools.

I think that will help!

And do not forget to mkdir /sys as root and add this to your /etc/fstab/ if this is the first time you are going to use a 2.6 kernel.

Code:
## Needed for kernel 2.6
none /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
