This is like pulling hen's teeth. Again there is no 'libswt-3.2-java' listed in Synaptic or found by 'apt-cache search'. Is it an empty file? Why do I have the file listed in '/etc/alternatives' yet while in that directory when I run '# whereis libswt-3.2-java' it only finds:

libswt-3:

which means nothing is there??? This is what curse words or for. What the bleep am I to do? I haven't yet found a 'libswt-3.2-java' to install anywhere???

Well crap, I'm running out of ideas. Try this.
Code:
aptitude reinstall libswt-gtk-3.2-java
I think that libswt-3.2-java is just a placeholder that points to whichever library that provides the SWT functionality. Or something like that, I can't really think of a good way to describe it.

CRAP INDEED, me out of ideas too. I really appreciate all your help cgjones. And guess what the last suggestion [it always is] from YOU WORKED!!! Woo Hoo!!!

I ended up doing this and it worked:

#aptitude purge azureus
#aptitude reinstall libswt-gtk-3.2-java
#aptitude install azureus

Whoa! And after all this, removing/purging Azureus countless time it still has the active torrents and settings I had before. I wish I knew [Probably an update] exactly what startedd this.

Yeah, I figured it had to be something with 'libswt-3.2-java' but just wasn't smart enough or knowledgeable enough to realize that it needed 'aptitude reinstall libswt-3.2-java'. I think that's the 1st time I used that command. Also the 1st time for 'aptitude purge'. Thanks again.
