awstats apache dependency


when I apt-get awstats it tries to download/install apache as well. However I am running apache2. How do I tell it not to install apache, or does it matter?

Are you using Apache2 from Debian that you installed with a dpkg-frontend (apt, synaptic, aptitude?)

apache2 I have was installed via apt
