Apt-get update ignores some backports

I've added different backports to my sources.list
One of them is the KDE backport from KDE's homepage..
(since i dont have 5 post yet, i cant post the URL)

and when I run "apt-get update" it is ignored or at least the apt-get update function prints
"IGN: (insert the KDE download url here) stable/main

and when I apt-cache search KDE the X isnt found..

Any clues anyone?

Are you running stable (woody)?

If so, I am using this kde 3.1.3 URI:

deb http://download.kde.org/stable/3.1.3/Debian/ stable main

I've noticed that it is only the releases part of the backport that is ignored. Pakages is a "HIT"..

Still no idea?

I think you'll have to do an apt-get install kdebase (or something similar) apt-get upgrade won't take you to newer versions of packages that have newer libraries, etc., apt-get dist-upgrade may do it but be careful that you don't remove a whole bunch of packages with apt-get dist-upgrade.

Thx for your reply, but if you read closely it isnt KDE and the installation af this that troubles me. Its backports in sources.list thats ignored in an apt-get update...
