about gparted


hi again, my gparted has only ext2, ext3 and swap.
I have a partition which size is 80gb, I cant resize like ntfs or fat.
do you know what is the solution or reason of this?

Hi,

You probably need to install the suggested packages that go with gparted.

In synaptic you would search for gparted then right click on the pacage (gparted) to install them.

They are:

xfsprogs
reiser4progs
jfsutils
ntfsprogs
reiserfsprogs

That should get you started

Think of these as 'add-ons' similar to what you would have in a music player when you added the mp3 codecs after installation

thank you Kirmonkey. I really didnt know this. now it's ok.

for fat, you need to install dosfstools.
