Question 'Emulate3Buttons on' copy / paste no longer working in Debian Testing (Stretch)

Greetings!

With just about any other Linux distro, I can add 'Option Emulate3Buttons on' along with the evdev catch-all config files in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d and clicking the left + right mouse buttons pastes. After installing Debian 8 amd64, then upgrading it to Testing (Stretch), this no longer works.

It appears that Debian Testing no longer uses evdev, instead using libinput. Even with changing my custom conf file to reference libinput, Emulate3Buttons still does not work.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I should try (besides downgrading or going with another distro)?

Thank you in advance.

I have found the answer to this problem. I created a file called /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/41-emulate3buttons.conf and filled it with the following:

Code:
Section "InputClass"
   Identifier "middle button"
   MatchIsPointer "on"
   MatchDriver "libinput"
   Option "MiddleEmulation" "on"
EndSection
Hope this helps someone!
