wont run binary files

just got DSL running on our flash drive installed as a full install. When i try to upgrade with the tool "enable GNU utilities" i get an error message saying "cannot run binary file' . Any thoughts

So this sounds to me like either a bug in DSL, or something went wrong when you installed to the flash drive. Are you comfortable enough with Linux to do some troubleshooting? First step would probably to find the script (if it is a script) that this command is running.

I tried running the script from a terminal window changing first to root, I got the same error , them i checked the the permissions on the file that was running and all users should be able to run them, I think i may have goofed when i installed to the flash , ive now installed puppyLinux and it seems to be working better, I will try reinstalling DSL again later
