unable to get damn small 4.4.4 to see flash drive

I have a flash drive formatted with fat32 but I don't see if when I right click on the home icon on the desktop. Any ideas? This is a Kingston 2gb flash drive.

Cannot see drives

I have had a similar problem- I cannot see any partitions (some ntfs, some ext3) on my hard disk.
I have been using version 4.2.5 as a live system, but 'sudo fdisk -l' shows nothing.

- Have you tried to mount the flash drive at sda#?
- Once mounted, can you access the flash drive in emelfm at /mnt/sda#?
- Have you tried booting DSL with the flash drive already plugged in?
