terminus package doesn't work properly / cant use terminus font

Hi!

I've installed the terminus_font package, so I could use the Terminus fonts.

Indeed they are installed into /opt/fonts/terminus, but they don't behave as planed:

I've added the path to /etc/fonts/local.conf:

Code:
...
<fontconfig>
  ...
  <dir>/opt/fonts/terminus</dir>
  ...
</fontconfig>
but after a reboot, the fonts don't appear in xlsfonts, event after fc-cache -f.

Now I'd like to use that font not only in X but also in the normal console.

How can I achieve that?

font problem

After installing terminus fonts, I had the same problem. Try:

mkfontdir
mkfontscale
fc-cache -f

in the dir where the terminus fonts are. Worked for me. I think I rebooted before trying xfontsel.

hmm, yes, well i worked-around it by placing

xset fp+ /opt/fonts/terminus
fc-cache -f

into /opt/bootlocals.sh

but I don't like that solution...

The dir is allready a font-dir, so running mkfontdir not necessary, actually.
And mkfontscale ist not available on my installation.
