mount: relocation error: mount: undefined symbol: blkid_known_fstype
I did a frugal install of DSL on an old Pentium II desktop. Using cfdisk, I partitioned the hard drive into 3 partitions:
hda1 Primary Linux swap 296.12MB
hda2 Primary Linux ext2 57.58MB
hda3 Primary Linux 1003.49MB
Hda2 is used for the Frudal install and I was planning to use hda3 for the backup/restore. I am not sure why hda3 doesn't say ext2 also (maybe because there is nothing saved to it yet? I chose type 83)
When I go to choose the device for the Backup/Restore in the Control panel the computer seems to "almost lock up" meaning that I can move the mouse around, but nothing else seems to work after that. If I press Control Alt Backspace, I can get to the command prompt, though I am not sure how to start x again from that.
hda1 and hda2 seem to mount just fine. If I try to mount hda3 from the GUI mount tool in DSL I get an error message that says:
mount: relocation error: mount: undefined symbol: blkid_known_fstype
From the terminal, if I type: sudo mount /dev/hda3 I get the same message.
If I type the command: sudo mount -t ext2 /dev/hda3 /mnt/hda3
I get the message: mount:wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda3, or too many mounted file systems
Is there something that I could change to be able to remedy this so I can Persist on DSL?
