Wouldn't it be easier to first burn the image to cdrom, boot into DSL, and let DSL linux install itself to the pendrive?

ok, I got the blank cd,did the burn, booted up from the live cd and installed to the usb,but still it does n't want to boot...so it's the BIOS.but i'm pretty sure the BIOS supports bootup from usb.the option is there.anyway i'll try my pc at home later.think that will work.

Also make sure that the USB device is checked before the Hard Drive.
