qmail-toaster auth not available

I'm trying to install qmail-toaster in an environment with Almalinux8 using the documentation and script available at http://www.qmailtoaster.net/, after installing it when performing some tests it returns the error "503 auth not available (#5.3 .3)", as shown below:

===
:~$ telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.76 25
Trying xxx.xxx.xxx.76...
Connected to xxx.xxx.xxx.76.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 - Welcome to Qmail Toaster Ver. 1.03-3.3.5.qt.md.el7 SMTP Server ESMTP
auth login
503 auth not available (#5.3.3)
^]
telnet> q
Connection closed.
===

Analyzing the patches installed in this version of qmail authentication should be enabled, I've searched and edited several configuration files, but I couldn't release the authentication of messages. I also performed the installation on CentOS 7, changed the supervise run files (smtp, smtps and submission). I performed the same test on ports 587 and 465.

Hello, ribascs & Welcome to LQ.

I tried qmail once, and failed miserably, but I was a newbie then. I could have done it if I had found this: lifewithqmail.org

Also DJB's main site: http://cr.yp.to which he could probably auction for a fortune now, with so much emphasis on anti-hacking & crypto coins.

Bernstein is … well … he's a few sandwiches short of a picnic, and his work reflects that. It's also definitely non LSB compliant.

I have always relied on John Simpson for how to install and use use qmail
https://qmail.jms1.net/
He has patches that fix what DJB didn’t. I’ve been running a production qmail server since 1999 using Simpson’s instructions and patches.
There’s a lot to read, and a lot to learn but JMS definitely has the answers.
You’ll also need to read ALL of DJBs stuff at cr.yp.to probably several times.
Good luck. Have fun!
