Log-In Problems On New Bodhi Forum

This is the second time this has happened. It would not accept my password. I changed it, but had to go through Pro Boards, and change my password there. It was OK for awhile, but now I can't log in again. I am reluctant to go through this again as it was rather a pain. So unless someone can advise me as to what the problem is, I will have to use this forum for any questions or input I may have. I did not forget the password, either.

Thanks,

Mike

But some Bodhi regulars still log in here, so I think it's a valid question.

Hi there

Sorry to hear you are having trouble logging on to the forums. I’ve checked and you still have an active account (last used August 2020). There are a few things we can try before disabling the account so you can set a new one up with the same credentials. (You can’t use the same email address while your current account that uses it is still active).

Can you reset your password. Delete cookies/browser cache (apparently this can cause issues). If neither of those things work jump on discord and we’ll disable your current account so you can set up a new one using the same credentials.

This hasn’t happened before so I’m hoping it’s something trivial. Good luck and let us know on discord whether those steps worked or not

Cheers
Hippytaff

Edit - actually, can I check I’m looking at the right account. What’s your username there?

I dunno what's on main.com, but bodhilinux.com is down too (and has been at least a couple days)... I assume its related to a scheduled server update tho, there was something like that supposed to be happening around now... but that shouldn't affect the forum as its hosted by 3rd party etc.

I'm talking about the Pro Boards Bodhi forum, which is fairly new.

bodhi.com is up, and also distrowatch has them today on their radar. I was hoping bodhi 6 final was ready but the web page does not state this.

There’s nothing on your settings which is preventing you from logging in. Admins don’t have access to passwords etc. This is taken care of by proboards. I’ll check their documentation and forums but I don’t think we have many options other than resetting your password, clearing your browser cache and cookies. And if that doesn’t work setting up a new account. I can disable the current (broken) one if you want to keep your username.

Not sure what's there, but Bodhi Linux's official website is bodhilinux.com.

It says latest version is 5.1 but that only applies to 32-bit.
