Error found in Bodhi5 distro

Hi there,

I am running Bodhi5 on a MacMini 2,1.

Because of its peculiar 32bits firmware, I could not boot the normal ISO-distro. I found a modified ISO on mattgadient.com and made a bootable USB, using the recipe found on mesom.de/efi32boot/.

Now, the MacMini showed the USB on startup. However, when GRUB loaded, it showed a Lubuntu (!!) startup menu. GRUB was started with the configuration in /boot/grub/loopback.cfg. This file contains the Lubuntu-menu.

I replaced it with grub.cfg and everything then worked.

This was just to let you know.

Ciao, momo

Interesting. Not a Bodhi 5.x error tho, but a minor issue with the ISO and more specifically the tool used to make the ISO, bodhibuilder. Took a look at bodhibuilder (BB as I call it) and you are right. Looks like the file loopback.cfg originally came from Lubuntu. I don't maintain BB and right now it is unmaintainted. Sef was working on it and Jeff and Charles helping some. But Charles is deceased and Jeff lacks time and I think Sef gave up on it. Unsure if it is worth repackaging the deb file to fix this issue as it is minor and effects almost no one.

As to BB it doesn't work on Ubuntu 20.04, specifically the gtk (GUI) part of the script. So for Ubuntu 2004 I will be using my own tool to make the ISO or perhaps another one I have been looking at. Yet another reason for the delay in the release of BL6.0.

Regardless thanks for letting me know. I will be sure BL6.0 does not have the same issue.
