My path to having everything working, some tips, tricks and choices that might be helpful to others....
Dual boot on ASUS UX303 L
So the Goal was to install Debian.
I started with this link (in french) : http://www.forum-des-portables-asus....ws-uefi-2-3-1/
Basically, you will have to :
- check that the drive has GUID table (GPT)
- check the BIOS options (disable secure boot, no CSM/Legacy boot)
- write down how the drive is parted and resize the destination part if necessary
- create the bootable usb stick with rufus (here in french)
And then, reboot with the usb to install !
But was soon stuck, the wifi card wasn't detected and, with no ethernet, I was badly stuck
The problem should be gone nowadays as recent kernels support it
The touchpad should also work from kernel version 4. Next posts will be : slackware now, then having everything working !
