OOo 3.3 How to???

Have Ubuntu 10.10. Am a newbie.
I just uninstalled my Open Office 3.2, to install Open Office 3.3 instead. That's what I did, sudo add-apt-repository ppapenoffice-pkgs/ppa. after that sudo apt-get update, after that sudo apt-get install openoffice.org. Everthing seemed OK. Even did sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-gnome. Restarted computer. Happily opened Open Office in order to start writing. What do I see? The old OOo is still there, nothing has happened...
Could anybody out there be kind enough as to tell me what the heck I did wrong???

OK.
That Open Office thing is history now. Libre Office rules. What I want to tell about is the great feeling when you, all of a sudden, find out a way to mount your floppy disks (anybody heard of that historic invention?). To anyone who is struggling with the same problem, try this: try writing in the terminal "udisks --mount /dev/fd0". Worked for me. Now I have access to all those old photos I've been
longing for, and much more. WHAT A FEELING!!! Love Linux, why are people so stupid as to even think of using anything else???Posted 11-05-2011 at 11:21 AM by teboil12
