Upgrading the Kernel in Vectorlinux

Vectorlinux uses gslapt for software installation (and yes it does dependency checking :-)), but Vectorlinux does not use the package manager for handling kernel upgrades.
Kernel upgrades are made available on a regular basis in the form of txz packages that are manually installed.
What the video to get a clear idea of the steps involved and maybe come away with an understanding that this is not as difficult as you may assume.
