QT4 dialog & using MC2 EXT_ALL target examples

Posted 12-11-2012 at 12:45 AM by rainbowsally

The sources are in the qt4 demos and you can use the pro file if you like, but here's example of how to use the EXT_ALL target in an mc2.def.

This also applies to makefiles in general, but it's much easier to work through an intermediate system such as mc2.

It is also a great demo for using dialogs, and you can choose native or QT built-in styles for them, which makes a big difference for the file and color selection dialogs.

I particularly like the file

A stand-alone TextDisplay widget in QT

Skip this part if you know about mc2 (makefile creator, the second generation)

new mc2 - creates makefiles from a source tree

Fixed a bug in mc2 noticed here.
Where It Crashed: http://rainbowsally.net/rainbowsally....4.1-rs.tar.xz

The large number of files listed in the mc2.def was overloading the parser so Parser (and the string list file and pipe reader) got a heftier buffer.

The file above is a java application. Not a great one but it shows one way mc2 can even generate makefiles for java applications using EXT_ALL as a target and some other tricks.

LEDA and XERCES

mc2 and new-make demos and/or sandbox installations for whatever purpose you like.

LEDA 6.3 with (mostly) working 'test'files and
Xerces 3.11 sandbox installers.

Here's a couple of examples that install into a sandbox HOME/usr32 which requires ~/usr32/bin in your PATH and ~/usr32/lib in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH to use.

new mc2 and new-make versions

Posted 12-06-2012 at 02:54 AM by rainbowsally
Updated 12-06-2012 at 02:56 AM by rainbowsally (typo correction)

The new mc2 version includes some stuff to allow more targets without getting your hands dirty modifying the output makefile. More templates.

[Save your old templates before installing this version, if you have any. They might get overwritten.]

The new new-make has better 'make finddeps' dependency output and a couple...
