Java programing

Posted 02-06-2011 at 12:59 AM by Mentate

Well ever since I was a young kid I was interested in computers. After all my dad was fixing them for people all the time. When I was about 10 my dad gave me a very old IBM Laptop. It barley had enough ram to run windows xp and only 4 gigs of hard drive space. But it was enough to get me started. Then when I was 13 he bought me a brand new Toshiba Satellite. That is when I became interested in programming. I happend to find a very old MS-Dos programming book and I started writing batch files. Then after the Toshiba's motherboard crashed and I got an Acer someone recommended Linux. I did some research and ended up installing Ubuntu and I love it! I often find myself typing in DOS commands in the terminal; its going to take me a while to adjust. Im going to try to learn to program in Java. hopefully that works out pretty well.
