collectNWData no longer requires to be executed as root

Updated 02-24-2010 at 02:41 PM by framp

Starting with version 0.6.3.0 a normal user can invoke the script. Without root access there is less problem check functionality and also less information collected for PD. But a lot of people feel uncomfortable when they have to invoke a script created by an unknown author as root.

Just in case somebody has network configuration problems. I wrote a script which analyzes the existing network config for common config errors and creates a log of a lot network config details of your system. This log is very helpful for everybody who tries to solve network problems.
