How to popularize Linux (or any hypothetical foss os) ?

After pondering , debating with great passion the issue of linux and why it doesn't achieve mainstream adoption , i personally came to the following points that would if adhered to increase the odds of popular success.

Secular Clisp

Hello Folks,

some of you might be lispers (lisp programmers) , i'd bet you prefer clisp , indeed it's a great implementation of common lisp.

strangely however its original authors decided to incorporate jewish religious imagery into the software , which takes the shape of a menorah.on further inspection of this under GNU released software i discovered a rather odd piece of code that provides an interesting insight into the religious zealot of the authors as well as...

found cin.getline solution

used: cin.ignore(std::numeric_limits<std::streamsize>::max(),'\n');
in conjunction with cin.clear() (very important!)
