This is the first "blog" of any kind I've ever had, so it's probably not the greatest...
Just a little snippet about me:
I'd like to consider myself relatively tech-savvy; obviously I use Linux (Arch to be precise; K.I.S.S. FTW), and I enjoy learning new things about computers in general (both software and hardware-related).
This blog is mostly just for whenever I feel like telling the world about my experiences with computers/Linux (or just life in general), or just posting for the hell of it.

Apology re: problems leaking out into forums

I've decided that I'm going to either a) take a break from LQ for a while (and I really mean it this time), or b) try to actually contribute more useful content to the forums (I've been spending way too much time in /General lately 
).
I figure that if I'm going to be posting anything about religion/faith, existentialism, philosophy, or whatever other topics that I find "sensitive", it'll be either here (in this blog) or just not at all.
So I'd like to just apologize for derailing the LQ forums somewhat with my existential whining...yes, I'll admit that it was whining.
I've already gained a somewhat negative rep with certain people here (even though my "official" LQ rep is positive
), and I'd like to try and improve that situation by helping out more (or possibly just taking a break for a while; this seems the more likely route at this point). So don't be surprised if you don't see a whole lot of posting from me in the /General forum...I need to stay away from threads like "Rank your religiousness" and "Possible evidence of time travel" if I'm gonna get over this whole thing.

I bet the majority of my posts are in general, and that is saying something, considering I have 800 or so 'official' posts in the technical forums.
