Finale 2003

Does anyone know if Finale 2003 can be run on Ubuntu? I have loaded Wine on my laptop and it can run some of the Windows apps that came with the Finale package like Acrobat and Windows Notepad. Under the Applications tab is Wine which links to the Windows programs I have loaded. The Finale icon is under the Wine and some of the applications that were packaged with Finale like, Adobe Acrobat and the files that access Windows notepad load and run with no problem.
When I try to run Finale, the Ubuntu equivalent of the Windows hourglass spins briefly then stops. Finale never loads. Can anyone help me?

(I am running Ubuntu on a “dinosaur” of a computer. This one is a 500 Mhz Pentium III that originally shipped with Windows 98. With Linux, this one is so much faster.)
