NEWS 131024
I’ve replaced Fluxbox with LXDE and added the applications GParted (partition editor), AbiWord, Icedove (Thunderbird) and AlsaPlayer. The biggest improvement in version 131024 is that Debian Installer and Debian Live Installer now work flawlessly.
UNIQUE
There is no other live version of Debian Jessie (as far as I know).
I have compiled yet another Ubuntu/Debian kernel for 64bit systems. This time kernel 3.12.0-0-exton, equivalent to Kernel.org’s kernel 3.12.0-rc6, released 131019.
The system is a remaster of Ubuntu 13.10 – codenamed Saucy Salamander, released 20131017. The original system includes the Desktop Environment Unity 7.1 (Ubuntu). I have replaced Unity with KDE 4.11.2, Gnome 3.8.4, Gnome Fallback (Classic) 3.8.4 (which makes Cinnamon expendable) and Razor-qt 0.5.2.
NEWS 131008
Install my new version of CruxEX 3.0 64 bit from 131008 to a USB Pen Drive and save your system changes - read this INSTRUCTION (http://cruxex.exton.net/cruxex-3.0-pen-drive). If you later on decide you want to install CruxEX to hard drive from the USB Pen Drive all your system changes will also be installed to the hard drive.
CruxEX 2013 is a live version of CRUX 3.0. It uses LXDE as Desktop environment and kernel 3.11.4-x86_64-exton.
Run your Slackware 64 bit system with the latest kernel – 3.11.2!
I have compiled a very useful (as I think) 64 bit kernel for Slackware 12.0 – 14.0 and/or all Slackware derivatives. For example Slax, Zenwalk, SlackEX and Exton|Defender.
