EXTON OpSuS Tumbleweed (openSUSE) 64 bit Deepin 20.6 UEFI Linux Live System – Build 230215

Posted 02-15-2023 at 06:27 AM by exton (Exton's Blog)

EXTON OpSuS Tumbleweed is based on openSUSE Tumbleweed, which is a rolling distribution. I.e. no need for new installations. Just run the command sudo zypper dup and you will always get the latest stable packages/kernels. The ISO file is only of 1570 MB so you will run the system very fast from a DVD or a USB stick. Even in VirtualBox/VMware directly from the ISO file.

NEWS 230121 about exGENT (Gentoo) 64 bit
I’ve made a new extra version of exGENT with only a few necessary packages pre-installed. The system is built from “scratch”. I.e. installed the “Gentoo way” following the Gentoo Handbook. It uses LXDE as Desktop Environment and kernel 5.15.80-gentoo-x86_64 (Gentoo’s original kernel) while running the system live (from a DVD or a USB stick). After a hard drive installation kernel 6.1.7 (latest stable kernel version) will be used. The ISO file is of...
