For the Self Proclaimed :newbie: (in all;)

Like snowboarding (most) Linuces easy learning curves (WHISTLEwhistle) can get steep depending on what you want to do.

Don't want to put this but I will: Virtualbox (+ +) run operating-systems in Linux and (see what you will)

I have found a better way, knowledge!

    Matrix(*) pill.

Sometimes Wifi firmware (+other) is not 'open' (or $upported by freedom) so you'll need "non-free\"opened drivers (some distros try for only free (maybe due to reverse-engineering legalities(?)) but) If happens another device to get drivers transferred will help via CD\USB\SD\local-device-to-device-connection\etc plus can help generally for searching topics if your main system goes down. Ethernet can almost always help to download the drivers as well. I've used Debian or based-upon-distros more often so: https://wiki.debian.org/Firmware-(/non-free/firmware/)

    Another few things to mention if you use a 64-bit PC use a 64-bit OS (IMHO) and http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ml#post5042929 with http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/...yer-linux.html plus http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...6/#post5086665 also http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/grub-2.html as-well http://www.howtogeek.com/149254/if-i...install-linux/ fun http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...lp-4175489581/ I guess http://linux.oneandoneis2.org/LNW.htm always find updated-info if links don't die or *I don't update.

P.s: (again,) why do we recommend certain distros? They're free to try and it's up to you! (some may work easier and\or better with your hardware or\and willingness)

Thanks. I wish I got started at two like my other nephew (now nine) who is learning to use Blender and Scratch in order to mod+ Rigs of Rods. They are so smart now a days.
